Do I need to know the exact legal issue before contacting you?
No. You can start by explaining what is happening at school. We can help identify whether the concern involves an IEP, due process, discipline, Section 504, advocacy support, or another next step.
What does an initial consultation cost?
Fees and the scope of any proposed work are discussed before representation begins. Contacting the firm is not a guarantee that the firm will accept the matter.
Do you take cases outside the Bay Area?
Yes. We represent families in Oakland, the East Bay, Alameda County, Kern County, and the greater Los Angeles area. Adjacent counties are considered case by case.

How do I prepare for our first call?
If you have them, gather your child's most recent IEP, assessment reports, and a short summary of what has happened with the school district. You do not need everything ready before you make first contact.
